Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) is looking for Communications Lead to manage communications and stakeholder engagement within the Working Group, as communities explore the possibility of hosting a Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) for the long-term management of radioactive waste in the UK.

You will be a key player in the Working Group team, as you will manage press and social media releases in the area, so copywriting skills are essential. Experience of working on complex projects/issues will also be advantageous. Within this, you will understand local media as well as local/regional government and the political landscape.
RWM is growing. With an organisation that is to grow from 200 people to 400+ people over the next 4 years, your responsibilities will expand with it. As a result, this role offers you the opportunity to develop both your skill set and your career.
The money’s great. The base salary is competitive with a range of £39,978- £47,556 + and an annual bonus (up to 30%), 30 days of annual leave (with public holidays on top) and one of the most generous pensions currently available in the UK (Civil Service Alpha Pension Scheme).
