The responsibilities of a Technical Operations Supervisor concern tasks of coordinating and controlling the activities of the Shift Operation Team together with End Client’s Shift Supervisor.
You will be issuing guidelines and instructions relating to plant operation processes, and managing and controlling different activities like operation, periodic tests, maintenance preparation and tagging.
Operation of systems, validation of operating and periodic test procedure duties are seen as support for all commissioning in coordination with different departments and lie under your responsibilities:
you will be preparing the systems for commissioning and maintenance, as well coordinating and actively participating in the blocking-, work order-, test permit-, fault notification and temporary modification processes.
In all activities, you aim to fulfil the requirements of Plant Technical Specifications.
After fuel loading, you will continue to carry overall responsibility in close coordination with the Shift Supervisor of the end client, who will bear the nuclear safety accountability.
– Validation of Work Orders, Blockings, Permit to Tests, Fault Notices and other documents associated with the PTW office
– Validation of Operating Manuals and Nuclear Testing Manuals
– Preparation of Operating Shift Round Sheets
– Preparation of OIO Shift Instructions, validation of Temporary Shift Instructions and filling of Shift Logbook
You are an experienced Mechanical or Electrical engineer, with 10 years of experience as a nuclear plant operator – which of a min. of 5 years at a licensed supervisory level on shift.
You have had exposure to all facets of plant operation, particularly to plant refuelling and maintenance outages. Also experience of the scheduling of planned work and PTW implementation, plant start-up and shutdown as well as modifications implementation/commissioning is required.
-Ability to work on the different process diagram, isometrics, preparation of solution and support for inventories in the field
-In-depth knowledge of nuclear plant operations and/or procedural planning of shutdowns/outages
-Demonstrable knowledge of power plant, system and process engineering
-General understanding of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and measurement/instrumentation technology
-Experience in procedure writing
