Role description
Experienced leading on large complex infrastructure programmes? Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) is looking for a Senior Planning Manager to lead your team and develop technical planning capabilities for the Geological Disposal Facility (GDF).
As a Senior Planning Manager, you will;
Responsibilities
- Lead the RWM team of schedulers, setting direction, objectives, and vision
- Define, develop, and maintain the planning and scheduling management processes and tools to support effective scheduling and resource management & communication across the portfolio.
- Establish and execute an effective means of monitoring and assuring the consistent use of planning and scheduling management practices across the portfolio.
- Work with Programme Directorate Senior Leadership Team colleagues to define programme & project performance metrics and ensure plans provide sufficient data to provide insights on performance.
- Provide support and training in the implementation of the defined planning and scheduling approach, including driving the sharing of learning and continuous improvement across the RWM portfolio.
- Lead planning engagement with a variety of key stakeholders developing tools and products to support a range of audiences.
Essential skills
You will have experience on major projects, ideally within a highly regulated industry, and have the ability to clearly communicate plans and schedules to all levels, including stakeholders. Experience working within the public sector would also be advantageous.
