Your focus will be upon developing strong and trusted local relationships with communities to help them engage with the GDF siting process, supporting them on their journey . This will help communities understand the science, engineering and societal issues and you will respond to their issues and questions.
Your key duties will include:
This is not a Monday to Friday, nine to five position. It will involve travel, meetings, attending events, delivering presentations and numerous activities in between. You’ll need to be resilient, diplomatic, driven and compassionate, as well as building trust in the communities in which you’ll engage.
Qualifications are not the main focus. Instead, an understanding of how to manage community, social and environmental issues as well as politics at national, regional and local level are high up on the list of must haves, and a broad understanding of land-use planning processes could be helpful.
