Role description

Looking to make an impact? Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) is looking for a Corporate Assurance Manager. RWM is responsible for delivering one of the UK’s largest environmental infrastructure projects and your work will directly ensure effective development and delivery of the corporate assurance plan.


  • Aid in the development and delivery of assurance policies and procedures within Corporate Services, working collaboratively with other Assurance teams within RWM (predominantly Programmes and Regulatory/HSSEQ)
  • Act as a point of contact and catalyst for assurance matters for the Corporate Services team to include the provision of advice and support to colleagues on assurance activities. Work with the Head of Corporate Assurance and Risk to identify improvements to assurance reporting (both individual report templates and BAU reporting schedules)
  • Lead on the development and delivery of appropriate action tracking systems across RWM to ensure accountability for implementing improvement actions is appropriately assigned and implementation monitored and reported to management and Board committees as appropriate.
  • Increase awareness and understanding of the Assurance Policy and Guidance within the Corporate Services team and support the Head of Corporate Assurance and Risk to increase awareness across the wider business.

Essential skills

You will have experience developing and delivering assurance plans within highly regulated industries and hold relevant qualifications in assurance or auditing. You will also have experience and understanding of the risk management function.

As this role will be responsible for delivering the audit and assurance function, a breadth of experience across projects/organisations is ideal.
