Role description

For one of our clients, we are currently looking for a Dismantling Engineer to join a fast-growing international organization based in France. This is a permanent role, to be involved with dismantling, decommissioning, and waste management projects.


Within the dismantling and general installation service the dismantling engineer is responsible for:

  • The basic design in order to find the best scenario for the dismantling of equipment or buildings,
  • The supervision of the detailed design studies made by engineers specialized in tooling, HVAC, civil works, safety, radiation protection, waste management, etc.
  • The writing of technical specifications,
  • The supervision of the studies carried out by subcontractors,
  • The management of one or several engineering assistants or drafters.

Essential skills

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or General Engineering or bachelor’s degree with a strong background.
  • Significant experience in the nuclear industry and especially in the dismantling of nuclear facilities or waste management.
  • Operational level of English and ideally French.
  • Native or bilingual level of German.
  • Analytical and summarizing skills.
  • Innovative.
  • Capacity for teamwork.
