Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) has a mission to deliver a geological disposal facility and provide radioactive waste management solutions. As part of this first of kind major environmental project, RWM is establishing the strategy around how sensitive data and information will be managed as the project gathers pace.

Role description

Through your knowledge and experience of governance and assurance you will help set the stage for how RWM’s Knowledge Management, Records and Information Management initiatives will be established now and into the future.


Key aspects of your role will include:

  • Aid the development and implementation of the RWM Knowledge Management Improvement Plan working in partnership with Information Asset Owners.
  • Deliver an agreed Information, Data and Knowledge Management assurance programme.
  • Support the provision and management of RWM’s Electronic Document & Records Management Systems
  • Support the development and deployment of the Records Retention Schedule and associated governance documents

This position will be heavily involved with developing and implementing policy and procedure so firm governance and assurance experience is essential. The environment is regulated and  project focused so exposure to past similar working environments is highly valued, as is a clear history of engaging across all levels of an organisation.
