Procurement Business Partner

Protecting current and future generations is at the heart of Radioactive Waste Management’s (RWM) mission to deliver the UK’s first Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) and provide radioactive waste management solutions.
Role description
As a Procurement Business Partner, you will manage end-to-end procurement projects from across all categories in support of RWM throughout the GDF siting process.
Responsibilities
You will join a diverse organisation, and maximise value for money within RWM with good, professional procurement practice, as well as:
- Develop a pipeline of procurement work through proactive category analysis and business partnering with key customers and reactively picking up business needs.
- Develop and analyse procurement management information to improve business intelligence and inform commercial decisions.
- Influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in order to help solve problems and realise opportunities in compliance with procurement policy and regulations.
- Identify opportunities to deliver additional value for money, including by aggregation and/or collaboration with other contracting authorities.
You will have excellent attention to detail and understanding how to run end-to-end procurement projects, with advanced use of Microsoft products and the ability to learn and work with new processes and IT systems.
Essential skills
- Excellent understanding of how to run end-to-end procurement projects in accordance with Public Contract Regulations.
- Previous experience of managing procurement projects.
- Experience working in a procurement team.
- Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to present and discuss information professionally and tease information out of people.
- Prioritising a challenging workload of competing priorities.
