We are seeking an experienced Functional Containment and Radionuclide Transport Engineer to join our client’s team. In this role, you will perform radionuclide transport calculations, support effluent releases, and develop source terms for postulated accidents. You’ll collaborate closely with nuclear safety and licensing staff to ensure technical and regulatory compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge safety analysis and modeling in nuclear engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement models for radiological source terms in gaseous and liquid effluents.
* Support mechanistic source term methods for accident scenarios.
* Contribute to containment performance analysis and regulatory submittals.
* Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure radionuclide containment and worker safety.
Key Qualifications:
* Solid background in using radionuclide transport and containment analysis tools (e.g., GOTHIC, RADTRAD, MELCOR, or similar).
* Knowledge of non-light water reactor systems and risk-informed safety approaches is a strong asset.
* Familiarity with Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) standards and experience applying them in safety analysis.
* Hands-on experience with sodium fast reactors or similar advanced reactor designs is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, quality assurance protocols (like NQA-1), and experience working under rigorous standards.
* Proven ability to work on cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex safety and design challenges.
* An advanced degree in nuclear engineering or a related field, with at least 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
