HVAC & Services Systems Engineer

For one of our clients, a leading consultancy business, we are seeking an experienced HVAC & Services Systems Engineer for a long-term contracting opportunity based in the Netherlands.

About the Role

As a HVAC & Services Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing HVAC and services systems requirements, design, and implementation in the nuclear industry. You will act as a key stakeholder, ensuring compliance, safety, and functionality while working closely with contractors and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the owner of HVAC & Services Systems requirements, defining and overseeing compliance.
• Provide design inputs to contractors, review designs, and ensure constructability, operability, and maintainability.
• Review and accept the design baseline for HVAC & Services Systems.
• Liaise with authorities and other regulatory bodies to present and validate designs.
• Act as a subject matter expert, ensuring the application of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
• Work closely with teams, contractors, and managers to ensure efficient communication and reporting.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering with a significant years of experience in HVAC, services, and systems engineering.
• Experience in the nuclear industry is required.
• Strong background in nuclear HVAC, systems engineering (INCOSE principles), and interface management.
• Ability to work as an “intelligent customer” and understand the role of an owner/client.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Previous experience working with contractors and managing work packages.
