Junior Mechanical Piping Engineer

Join a leading engineering team working on complex projects within the nuclear industry. We are seeking a skilled engineer with strong technical and communication abilities to support procurement, technical coordination, and project management activities.

As a Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineer, you will work closely with Project Managers and customers to define, purchase, and manage piping and structural components for nuclear projects. You will ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and smooth project execution from specification to final delivery.

What you will do :

Procurement & Technical Documentation
– Define technical requirements and prepare documentation for tendering (Technical Requisition Files, commercial documents).

Supplier Management
– Review bids, support negotiations, and follow up on contracts through to final acceptance on-site.

Manufacturing Oversight
– Monitor manufacturing progress in coordination with the quality surveillance team and customers.

Technical Expertise
– Provide guidance on piping, supports, structures, and applicable rules and codes.

Stakeholder Support
– Assist Project Managers and clients in meetings and technical discussions with Safety Authorities.

We are looking for :

• Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English OR French and English.
• Skills in writing technical documentation and reports.
• Interest in economic analysis, design, manufacturing, and site operations.
• Nuclear experience is a plus.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and a relationship builder.
• Strong IT skills (Excel, Access, etc.).
