Shape the data backbone of a next-generation nuclear build. We’re looking for a Data Architecture Consultant to design the single source of truth that will guide a new nuclear plant from design through commissioning and operations – a rare chance to build foundational data infrastructure for the nuclear industry’s next chapter.

What this role offers:

Location: Richland, WA

Full-Time, Onsite, Contract (12 months, high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs)

Schedule: 4 x 10’s (Monday-Thursday)

Salary Range: $85-$110/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Implement a comprehensive data strategy for a single source of truth, data-centric platform spanning design, licensing, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations

  • Establish and implement a Data Governance Framework covering data architecture, integration principles, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance

  • Identify solutions for digital twins for regulatory programs and digital threads linking requirements to plant equipment

  • Evaluate existing enterprise asset management software and databases to identify opportunities for consolidation and elimination of redundancy

  • Communicate data platform objectives and strategy to internal stakeholders and external partners, and help define roles, responsibilities, and authorities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, or a related role

  • Experience designing or working with operational, change management, or records systems

  • Experience integrating data from disparate systems into a centralized platform

  • Knowledge of cloud providers, SaaS platforms, and data storage platforms, with experience selecting the right technology for project needs

  • Experience gathering requirements from varied stakeholders and advising on technical solutions

  • Experience leading and building technical teams and communicating project status to stakeholders

  • Strong knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL), ETL/ELT integration frameworks, and cloud services (AWS, Azure)

  • Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and streaming services (Kafka)

  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or another programming language

  • Expertise in data modeling and data warehousing principles (transactional schema, normalization/denormalization, star schema, snowflake schema)
