“Following a reorganisation, opportunities have arisen to join the central Programme Management Office to perform the duties of a Business Case Specialist. The role is required to assist the Project Sanction & Validation Lead in developing a Business Case bureau service, including drafting, and providing support and assistance in Business Case development across the Magnox Portfolio of decommissioning programmes and projects.”
As a Business Case Specialist, you will be based at one of our sites combined with work-from-home and travel as needed to other Magnox sites. You will review and feedback on business cases produced to drive quality improvements. Additionally, as a Business Case Specialist you will;
- Write high quality business cases which translate policy, technical and non-technical Project, and commercial documentation into coherent, compliant, and succinct cases.
- Effectively engage with Project managers to ensure alignment between business case development and original project material
- Ensure that developed business cases comply with organisational and HMT Green Book requirements
- Provide advice on the development of business cases across the organisation
- Present and facilitate structured workshops to train the company on business case requirements and the development processes
Skills and Experience
- Experience writing high value and complex business cases
- Ability to understand and translate technical information into clear and succinct business cases
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage effectively cross functionally and across organisation
- Experience of developing, simplifying and operating complex processes
- Strong workshop facilitation and presenting skills
