Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy that works with blue chip companies to assist them with their development schemes in the utilities and infrastructure sectors, including including sustainable and renewable energy projects such as Offshore Wind, Solar and Nuclear Energy.
They are looking for a Senior Environmental Planner to join their team to help drive their work towards supporting the UK in achieving Net Zero by 2050.
As a Senior Planner within the Environment and Planning Team, you will manage and contribute to a variety of projects, including new capital schemes and property portfolio development appraisals, securing planning consents across all utilities and infrastructure sectors.
You will take the lead in the preparation and delivery of a range of environmental planning services and projects, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental and planning-related guidance, legislation, and policy as applied in the UK.

To be considered for this role, you should:
- Have a relevant planning degree or equivalent experience,
- Be working towards or have achieved chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI).
- Be able to demonstrate sound analytical and presentation skills
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be commercially aware to understand client needs and requirements when undertaking negotiations with stakeholders
- Knowledge of GIS systems and an understanding of environmental technical disciplines.
