As a Field Services Planner, you will contribute to the planning and coordination of maintenance, construction, and decommissioning activities. Your responsibilities will include developing work planning packages, conducting field-level walk-down assessments, and creating detailed field work execution plans. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient execution of building maintenance, construction, remediation, and demolition activities.



  • Minimum three (3) years Technical College or University diploma/degree.
  • Journeyperson trades certification with five (5) years or more of relevant experience.
  • A combination of education and experience with a minimum of five (5) years of technical maintenance/work management experience.


  • Minimum five (5) years of experience planning work and work management exposure.
  • Trades background, technical background, and/or Red Seal designation preferred.
  • Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC).

Abilities And Skills:

  • Effective team-building and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate initiative.
  • Familiarity with maintenance work procedures, N286 documentation, General Conduct of Operations, and work permit requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineered Drawings.
  • Understanding of Work Control ideologies and willingness to promote new ideas.
  • Competent in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of nuclear and conventional ASME and Canadian piping and pressure vessel codes.
  • Extensive knowledge of site systems and equipment.

Functions And Responsibilities:

  • Lead in the development and improvement of the Integrated Work Control program and initiatives.
  • Plan safe work activities using the Integrated Work Control process and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Develop and write Work Instruction Packages, including Job Hazard Analysis and Work Instructions.
  • Identify and coordinate Subject Matter Experts and project teams to build a “Planning Team.”
  • Refine work scope and job steps, identify hazards, and implement mitigations.
  • Provide estimates of duration, forecast outlook of resources, and costs associated with work activities.
  • Facilitate field execution tasks through coordination with work groups, Project Supervisors, and Lead hands.
  • Assist in improving Key Performance Metrics and Resource Capacity Forecasting.
  • Provide leadership for continuous improvement initiatives and safety culture enhancement.
