We are seeking a motivated Sub-systems Lead – Catridge Architecture to join their innovative and international team.
Our client is at the forefront of designing and developing advanced technology for Molten Salt Reactors (MSR). Their mission is to accelerate the transition to clean energy and contribute to solving the climate crisis. Currently in the development phase, they focus on refining their design through rigorous analysis, experiments, simulations, and strategic partnerships. They emphasize a multidisciplinary approach built on openness, transparency, and collaboration. By fostering values such as unity, communication, and support, they ensure both technological progress and a strong, cohesive team.
The role:
As a Project Manager, your responsibilities include overseeing the client’s Cartridge primary and secondary containment, as well as the internal support systems of its subsystems. You will be accountable for ensuring timely deliveries throughout the development phase, leading to a robust and reliable design. Your key tasks will involve managing prototyping, basic design, definitive design, and final industrialization.
- Define the priorities and working plan, evaluate the solutions and ensure the progression of the project in a defined timing.
- Organize the project activities to respect the objectives : workshop organization, project reviews, milestones preparation and presentation.
- Manage the interactions with other functions of the cartridge & nuclear island.
- Work with Thorizon strong experts & external partners to reach project targets. Strong link with head of quality-safety and manufacturing team.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Master degree in engineering with strong skills in mechanics and/or demonstrated experiences.
- Fast learner that has the potential to lead complex topics.
- You have significant years of experience in complex system (structure, hydraulic, thermal, nuclear systems)
- Strong stakeholder management skills and taking ownership of deliverables.
- Agile in working, and comfortable in a fast-moving pace of a technological scale-up.
- Have been actively involved in the set-up of a new design.
- Excellent communicator in English, both spoken and written. French and/or Dutch would be considered a strong plus.
