Are you an EC&I professional who’s interested in joining a UK owned consultancy that sits at the heart of Project Delivery within the Nuclear sector? Our client is looking for a Head of EC&I who will provide expert advisory to clients and internal stakeholders, across the areas of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation engineering.

As part of the leadership team, the Head of EC&I will lead the development of a key capability to enable the organisation to improve the delivery of their clients’ complex multi-disciplinary projects by driving technical integration across the supply chain, providing value and engineering excellence to all our clients.

Accountabilities:

  • Overall leadership and governance on the definition of EC&I Engineering delivery excellence and technical consultancy.
  • Key client interface and internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EC&I related topics.
  • Align with key stakeholders, suppliers and other disciplines to ensure specifications are met and input into areas of business development, growth, strategy and priority definition.
  • Provide line management, coaching, and mentoring to develop technical and personal skills across the team.
  • Develop and grow the EC&I capability within the organisation aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and growth targets.
  • Creation of EC&I win themes, Unique Selling Points and business development strategy against target clients and projects.

Experience, Skills:

  • Chartered Professional of an appropriate membership.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong appreciation and application of UK nuclear regulatory requirements.
  • Deep understanding of full life cycle engineering delivery with direct commissioning and lifecycle management (including ageing and obsolescence) experience beneficial.
  • Commercially astute engineering leader with a strong appreciation of budgetary management and programme delivery
  • Demonstrable experience in managing technical teams.
  • Significant experience in defining, capturing and managing technical requirements.
  • Strong relationship management, interpersonal, presentation, people management and communication skills.
