About the Role
As an AOV/MOV Valve Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing system work windows to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely execution of outage activities. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of nuclear safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Outage Planning & Execution
- Lead the preparation, planning, execution, and closeout of assigned system work windows.
- Act as the primary point of contact for outage-related activities involving MOVs and AOVs.
- Ensure outage milestones are achieved while maintaining strict adherence to nuclear safety requirements.
- Coordinate schedules and resolve conflicts among multiple stakeholders.
System Window Coordination
- Manage the planning and execution of maintenance activities related to Motor-Operated Valves (MOVs) and Air-Operated Valves (AOVs).
- Facilitate coordination meetings with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Radiation Protection, and Procurement teams.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics, reports, and risk-tracking tools to enhance outage effectiveness.
Risk & Safety Management
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with valve maintenance and outage execution.
- Implement mitigation strategies and coordinate high-risk evolutions in accordance with industry best practices and plant procedures.
- Promote a strong nuclear safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Outage Support & Emergency Response
- Provide support during outages and emergency situations to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Candidate Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience within the nuclear power industry or a closely related sector.
- At least 5 years of maintenance experience, including turnaround/outage planning and execution.
- Proven experience overseeing MOV and AOV maintenance activities is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of nuclear power plant maintenance programs and valve management practices.
- Working knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera scheduling software.
- Broad understanding of international maintenance standards and best practices.
- Excellent awareness of safety procedures and operational requirements within the nuclear and power generation sectors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
