Our client a Leading International Engineering Organisation are seeking a Business Manager to work in the UK on a permanent basis.

Role description

The business manager is responsible and accountable for the operational management and strategic development of the business, to achieve agreed financial and developmental objectives whilst ensuring high quality service and delivery standards on existing contracts and winning new business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for individual contract delivery and overall P&L management, observing all Company governance requirements and practices.
  • Participate and lead tender submissions, final price and commercial negations to secure orders at approved margins.
  • Continuously improve client service levels and thereby satisfaction, optimising company performance whilst building and deepening client relationships.
  • Work cohesively with counterpart business managers and functional heads of departments to ensure the optimal utilisation of all necessary resource, agreeing a set of priorities where competing demands exist.

Essential skills

  • A technical or commercial background with the ability and confidence to meet clients at all levels to discover, develop and deliver their requirements.
  • Experience of leading and managing a team with demonstrable results. Understand and interpret the relevant industry standards and specifications.
  • The ability to communicate, negotiate and be influential at all levels is essential including possession of well- developed active listening skills.
  • Exercise due diligence and care on moral, financial and legal considerations.
