Do you have change control administration experience, gained from working within a Programme & Project Controls Team or setting?

Role description

We are looking for a Change Control Engineer to join an extensive 20-year nuclear framework project known as PPP (Programme and Project Partners).

What will you be doing?

You’ll be working in support of the Change Control Manager so that they can start to shift their focus away from day to day change control administration. Initially, the PPP Services Programme and Project Controls Team’s tasks (in relation to Change Control) will be to oversee the passing of changes to PPP Projects (design, scope, re-work) and between the Lot Partners, working with all stakeholders. Within that, you’ll be responsible for assisting the PPP Change Control Manager in the day-to-day management of the PPP Change Control Procedure.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

This is a snapshot of what you’ll be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the PPP Change Control Register, ensuring that it is up to date and is ready to provide management with an immediate snapshot of any particular change, and this will also include working with all stakeholders to ensure that all Changes are identified as early as possible, and passed through the Change Control process in a timely fashion
  • Ensuring that the Change Control Library is up to date
  • Compiling the agenda, and any other materials, for the fortnightly PPP Change Control Board.

Essential skills

What about experience?

The PPP setting has many projects and strands to it and is a highly demanding environment. You should have experience of working within a Programme & Project Controls Team or setting, ideally within a similar large volume Programme.

You will be an influencer for enabling the implementation of Change Control so strong communication and the ability to form good working relationships across a complex stakeholder environment will be essential.

Experience of using workflows in SharePoint, Excel, PowerBI and Microsoft Teams is also sought.

Desired skills

A familiarity with basic project management approaches and major project lifecycle phases would be beneficial, as would prior knowledge or experience of working within Sellafield.

What are the terms?

All roles are offered upon a permanent basis and in this case salary is between £35- £40K, experience dependent. Holidays are offered at 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with a variety of benefits offered.

This is a Monday to Friday role with Warrington as the preferred location (Cumbria could also work), with the conversation around remote/ hybrid working currently taking place.
