Role description

As a Chemistry Lab Operator, you will be executing analytic tasks for experimental programmes across various product lines. Support the development and upkeep of lab facilities & associated know-how.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • R&D:
    Execution of analytic tasks for experimental programmes on time, efficiently, safely and to high quality. Supporting in developing implementation plans for the experimental programme,
    as well documenting test results and preparing the documents necessary in support of the experimental programme
  • Support & Infrastructure:
    Activities in the labs and support on the implementation of required equipment.
    Modifying the lab infrastructure and identifying the best equipment and set up for specific experiments. Providing input on lab development opportunities.
  • Capabilities & Knowledge:
    Collate know-how for test equipment and act as a consultant to others seeking this knowledge.
    Provide input on new technological developments.
    Ensure that new external technological developments are assessed.

Essential skills

You have a bachelor’s degree in Analytic or Inorganic Chemistry and you are experienced ideally within a test facility, laboratory or manufacturing/process environment. You have hands-on experience in operating & maintaining analytic equipment and have knowledge of analytic chemistry.

Familiarity with analytic and audiological characterisation techniques will be seen as a huge advantage.

Good awareness of health & safety regulations, a basic understanding of project management and skills in documenting experiments and results are considered a plus.
