Role description

For one of our clients in Finland, we are currently looking for a Commissioning Functional Support Manager to contribute to the finalization of the commissioning works on a major nuclear new build project. This is an initial 1 year contract with a possible extension to be based on site.

Responsibilities

Under the authority of the Commissioning Management, the Functional Support manager will be responsible for support functions integrated into the Commissioning Department including:

  • Coordinate staffing requirements with commissioning branches and groups leaders. Make sure that the necessary resources and competencies are available.
  • Manage the commissioning budget (Barchart, Contracts, HBO hours)
  • Manage the training and qualification of all personnel in the Commissioning Department in accordance with Commissioning Manual procedures and site needs.
  • Manage and ensure updating of the Commissioning Manual (CPs) and Project Instructions managed by Commissioning. Develop and arrange dedicated training.
  • Support the commissioning needs in term of organizational changes and method implementation
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities could be added at a later stage when needed including technical and/or operational functions.

Essential skills

  • Relevant experience in commissioning support functions on nuclear or big construction projects
  • Technical degree required in engineering
  • Demonstrable management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (and Documentum).
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluency in English
