Role description

For one of our clients in Finland, we are currently looking for an experienced Configuration Management consultant to support the development of a nuclear new build project. This is a long term contract assignment to be based in Helsinki.

Responsibilities

  • Developing the Configuration Management System of the organisation
  • Supporting both the operator and the plant supplier with Configuration Management issues (providing support and follow up of technical issues)
  • Taking an expert role responsible for Configuration Management as part of the Configuration Management team
  • Ensuring consistency of the Configuration Information during the NPP Design Reviews
  • Verify that a Configuration Baseline conforms with its corresponding NPP Design and requirements during the Configuration Baseline Freezing
  • Configuration Management physical and functional inspections
  • Configuration Management training and training material preparation
  • Support for the corresponding tool development and tool review development

Essential skills

  • Engineering degree in a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Configuration management in the construction or operation of a nuclear power plant or similar project
  • Experience in Configuration Management tools such as Smart Plant Foundation or Enovia
  • Strong knowledge in design process and change management
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify problems and develop solutions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Fluency in English
