Role description

For our client’s Configuration Management Unit we are looking for a Consultant to support the Engineering Attributes development related to our client’s scope, which includes mainly the design of conventional buildings supporting the Plant operation (office, warehouse, etc.).

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Your main tasks as Configuration Engineering Consultant are:

  • Develop and document Engineering Data management framework related to our client’s scope of works.
  • As the plant will have one single Database, handling all Engineering Data, the alignment and harmonization with the EPC Supplier scope Information Model must be ensured
  • Rules of how to inform the guidelines and requirements related to Engineering Data Model structure and design to suppliers must be described in the documentation.
  • The Documentation must include general rules of how to identify the elements from design required to have Engineering Data.
  • General rules for the transfer protocol (Data handover) of the Engineering Data from Sub suppliers to our client’s IM must be ensured in the documentation.
  • Support the development of a unified Engineering Attribute library in close cooperation with the CM team

Essential skills

You have previous experience in handling engineering data and related attributes associated with object-oriented data models.

Understanding the Design development Processes (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical or Civil engineering) and interdisciplinary competencies in the area of engineering methods and workflows on large scale projects is expected.

You are knowledgeable in tool-based engineering, especially in object-oriented engineering databases and CAD applications for engineering design (e.g. SPF, E3 Series, NavisWorks, Enovia).


Desired skills

Previous experience in Nuclear projects is an advantage.

Knowledge of relevant Finnish safety and construction permit legislation will be considered an asset.
