Role description

As a technical expert in their field, the Continuous Improvement Advisor will support the Quality Assurance & Transformation (QA&T) Management to establish, implement, and manage our client’s Continuous Improvement Program. This role will be the process owner to focus and apply a graded approach to organization-wide improvement activities. The Advisor will lead the resolution of complex business problems, improve efficiencies, mitigate risk, measure results, drive cultural improvement, and facilitate teams to consensus and action. Working with all levels within the organization, the Advisor will assist management to review business performance through an improvement-focused lens, and coach and mentor individuals in the application and benefit of continuous improvement tools.

The Continuous Improvement Advisor will be responsible for the Continuous Improvement Program containing:

  • A documented process to scope, implement and measure results
  • A robust and flexible toolkit to ensure successful outcomes
  • Analysis of business performance to inform the selection and prioritization of improvement activities (with Sr. Mgmt.)
  • Coaching and Mentoring
  • Trending of savings /benefits resulting from improvement activities
  • Support to process owners to implement improvement actions
  • Measurement of program success

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters and Bachelor’s degree in relevant field(s) or Bachelor’s degree with relevant certifications and at least 20 years of relevant expereince.
  • MBA (preferred)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 15 years diverse quality experience within DOE, commercial nuclear or at least in some other highly regulated industy, or at least 10 years in quality roles with additional years of expereince in operations, engineering
  • Clear experience leading continuous performance improvement initiatives, strategies, plans, activities
  • Additional experiences…

    • devolving quality programs procedures, and processes.
    • Ability to develop and apply perfromance improvement measures
  • Advanced facilitation and communication skills
    • Ability to influence at all levels.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • American Society of Quality CQE/CMQ certification
  • Certification in LEAN Six Sigma (preferably to Black Belt, improvement methodology and causal analysis)
  • Project Management courses / certification
