For one of our clients, a worldwide leading nuclear services company, we are currently searching for a Contracts Manager to join their team in the South of UK.  The client is offering a permanent contract.

Role description

In this role you will be supporting the Marketing & Sales team to manage the execution of the customers’ contracts. You will work with external customers and the internal delivery teams to optimise the contracts and maximise both value to the company and maximise customer satisfaction. You will also have to support and develop long term business relations with existing and future customers.

Responsibilities

Contract Operations Project Management

  • A problem solving self-starter, able to initiate timely intervention in bespoke operational issues, and work collaboratively
  • Knowledgeable about supply/commercial contracts and supply chain planning
  • Technically minded, mathematically competent, understands commercial legal demands
  • Good time management and scheduling is essential, with the ability to multi task
  • Co-ordinating activities with supply team, production sites and internal departments (mainly marketing & sales, finance, risk and legal) with a customer focus
  • Dealing with site export permissions, transportation planning, cylinder logistics, site allocations, ensuring that notices are timely, issuing of invoices, input to delivery management agreements and utility contract drafting, tracking non-conformances and helping resolve customer complaints
  • Must appreciate that the role is not uniform across the contracts portfolio; some customers will be handled right down to one step above basic contract administration by the relevant account manager, whilst others will be time-consuming and the contract manager may direct the majority of communications when no marketing and sales activities are apparent.

SAP and General Administration

  • Must possess good levels of IT literacy, with an ability to demonstrate diligence and a systematic approach to tasks
  • Responsible for input of contract parameters in SAP ERP system
  • To write and follow procedures and work instructions for order to cash system and in SAP
  • Liaising on WinShuttle development with internal planning teams to assist with analysis and entry of SAP data
  • Familiar with document management systems (Microsoft Sharepoint) and proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Clear communication skills necessary and a willingness to look beyond the information being fed to Contract Management

Planning & Forecasting

  • Interpreting and forecasting contractual obligations – going beyond the data and looking for issues and anomalies, challenging accepted wisdom
  • Requires good research and influencing skills
  • Develop utility behaviour modelling in conjunction with other teams (e.g. product and tails assay modelling)

Evaluating reactor performance impacts to delivery portfolio in conjunction with other teams (risk analysis on flexibilities and options, ongoing utility requirements)

Essential skills

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • 3-5 – years’ experience in a B-2-B role
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Highly numerate
  • Experienced in the use of MS Office with a high proficiency in MS Excel
  • Commercial legal experience
  • Good communication skills

Desired skills

  • Knowledge of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle desirable
