Role description

This organization is an international energy developer and leader in solar power generation, specialising in full life cycle management of mid-sized Solar projects from design and construction, through to operations and maintenance. With a vision to bring low-cost clean Solar PV power global and create a world class legacy that is impactful and meaningful for a low carbon future for future generations, The organisation has projects across 5 countries and development plans in 10 markets and have has built up a ‘shovel ready’ project land base in excess of 3,000MW.

With global headquarters relocated to Dubai in the recent months, this organisation has a diversified revenue stream across the lifecycle of the projects, typically involving the build, own and operate model either through joint ventures, partnerships, or wholly owned projects from land acquisition through to development of the project to connectivity to the grid.

They are currently seeking a Cost Control Manager, based fulltime in Dubai, to manage a team of three staff covering all aspects of procurement, financial modelling and engineering.


  • Manage and develop a team of three staff across all aspects of project calculation, assessment and pre-bid modelling and procurement, coaching, developing and mentoring the team to ensure the highest standards of performance excellence.
  • Oversee all solar research activities, planning all immediate, planned and future project locations, ensuring all potential project sites are being effectively identified, designed, modelled and costed effectively to ensure the best decisions are being made within the organisation on target sites/locations.
  • Oversee and lead the procurement costing activities for each potential target site/location, and ensure all financial models, designs etc. are correct and accurate to deliver to the leadership team.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • You will have a background in procurement and cost management in a solar project development environment with at least 7-10 years’ experience.
  • You will have superbly strong leadership and team development experience, with a background motivating and building high performing teams in previous roles.
  • You will be a highly adaptable and flexible leader, with a genuine interest in being part of a very fast-growing company.
