Role description

Our client is a leading international engineering, project management and services provider to the highly regulated nuclear, defence, oil & gas, and science & research industries. The organization is creating a NEW FUNCTION which requires a Digital Strategy Manager to lead on the evolution of digital strategy.

Job overview:

  • Understand business need and how this can be supported by new and emerging technologies / industry best practice
  • To help formulate and deliver the company’s digital strategy / vision
  • To implement and manage change within the business
  • To support and sponsor implementation of new technology on behalf of Technical & Assurance Director

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for instigating and delivering improvement (process and systems)
  • Responsible for implementing and managing the technology change process within the business
  • Keeping abreast of technology development
  • Producing business cases for new technology and/or systems
  • Developing User Requirements specifications for new technology
  • Responsible for producing the digital technology strategic plans
  • Formal and informal interactions with Group IT providers and other suppliers as required by the role
  • Reporting into the Head of Capability

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Senior engineering / IT qualifications – Ideally Degree or Masters qualified within this field
  • A member of a relevant institute such as IMECHE.

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of engineering and design best practice
  • Knowledge of digital business systems and technologies
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Previous proven experience of delivery in a similar role
  • Knowledge of change management process and experience of implementation
  • Responsible for instigating and delivering improvement (process and systems)
