We are currently looking for an Engineering Manger would like to take on a position offering career growth and location flexibility. As an Engineering Manager you will ensure that plant availability is maintained at a minimum requirement to support decommissioning operations which will involve the retrieval, processing, sorting and storage of radioactive waste. You will also lead a team that will be responsible for the ongoing and long-term functionality of the plant (note that maintenance is conducted by an alternative team) and to develop and implement plant modifications and/or improvements to assist/improve continued operability

Key Deliverables

  • Prioritise the allocation of engineering resources to meet statutory, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Monitor and develop individual performance and group capability, taking action as required.
  • Provide specialist engineering advice in your own area of expertise.
  • Manage the delivery of fit for purpose engineering solutions to support the sites decommissioning programme.
  • Undertake delegated responsibility of Design Authority as required (S-157).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum HNC/D with significant practical experience
  • Experience in a Management or Engineering role within an industrial plant environment
  • A Degree in Engineering or relevant subject, NQF level 6 would be advantageous
