Role description

The Enterprise Technology (ET) Corporate Function Domain Specialist is responsible for understanding and capturing corporate domain requirements and translating them into relevant corporate systems. This includes acting as the lead point of contact for the respective domain for new requirements and support to the business and serve as a primary link to vendors to support delivery. In addition, the role is responsible for delivering Enterprise Technology services consistently and effectively to all corporate function domains across our client which includes troubleshooting problems and issues, and coordinating with third party service providers.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact to for new requirements and build strong relationship across the domain to better understand emerging requirements
  • Translate corporate domain stakeholders’ needs and challenges into well-defined functional and technical technology requirements, initiatives and projects
  • Lead demand management and prioritisation of IT initiatives based on business’ needs and strategy, IT workload, and budget
  • Manage corporate domain challenges, complaints and improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate and Support FAT, SAT & User Acceptance Testing sessions with corporate domain stakeholders
  • Measure, drive and communicate business value realization from technology on a regular basis
  • Identify and recommend solutions/emerging technologies that can improve corporate domain performance
  • Identify technology capacity requirements to meet existing and future requirements for the corporate domain
  • Contribute towards corporate domain related projects (enterprise technology) to ensure timely completion within the set budget in coordination with the relevant functions to ensure their requirements are reflected
  • Assist the corporate domain with drafting the scope of works and functional and technical requirements for RFPs for enhancements or new solutions
  • Implement our client’s enterprise technology policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security and access control
  • Establish and support the building of an enterprise data architecture with a well-defined data catalog
  • Follow up the timely and accurate provision of corporate domain troubleshooting, hardware and telecommunication support services through our clients’s Enterprise Technology Helpdesk
  • Coordinate with third party enterprise technology providers to ensure efficient provision of services in coordination with our client Enterprise Technology and Cyber team
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Enterprise Technology function and the various departments within our client to ensure appropriate support and collaboration exist to achieve the organisational objectives
  • Manage third party vendors and develop / procure appropriate support arrangements & contracts

Standard Responsibilities:

  • Implement all relevant section policies, processes, and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Execute the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’ and changes in business environment, and leveraging insights. This includes supporting the related change management efforts
  • Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet the section requirements, policies and standards

Essential skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Enterprise/Information Technology, Information Systems or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of practical experience in IT Service Management or related field
  • Experience in a multinational company

Desired skills

  • One of the following certifications: ITILV4 (Practitioner or Intermediate level), COBIT5 (Implementation level), ISO 20000, Certified Agile Business Analysis, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • Experience in a diverse/multi-cultural business industry (obtained from medium to large organisation)
  • Experience in defining technology requirements in the Energy and Utility sector
