Role description

Ready for something new? The Low Level Waste Repository (LLWR) are currently seeking a Governance and Assurance Manager to join the Project, Programme and Portfolio Management (PPM) capability.

As a Governance & Assurance Manager, you will use your experience within a PPM environment to establish, and maintain, Governance and Assurance frameworks as well as coordinating independent assurance of projects and programmes.

Additionally, you will;

  • Develop and lead on the implementation of the terms of reference for project, programme, and portfolio boards
  • Work with the business to define, implement, and maintain a fit for purpose PPM governance framework
  • Work with the business to define, implement, and maintain a fit for purpose PPM assurance framework that support the PPM governance requirements and complements wider assurance activities across the business
  • In conjunction with business owners and programme, project or team managers, support, and guide strategies for the effective planning, monitoring and delivery of programmes or projects where needed
  • Bring together portfolio, programme or project staff of different disciplines and drive the group to plan, formulate and agree a comprehensive quality management strategy and quality management plan;
  • Coordinate independent quality reviews of portfolio, programme or project and deliverables
  • Develop bespoke processes, standards, and templates (tailored approach) for PPM quality assurance

This role can suit if you are earlier on in your career or coming with years of experience and looking for a new challenge. You should have experience communicating with varying levels of management as well as a strong financial acumen.

While LLWR’s head office is based in Cumbria, this role will have flexibility and allow for remote working with occasional office visits (weekly or bi-weekly, to be arranged).

This new position also has the ability to accommodate a PT work schedule
