Role description

As the I&C Field Troubleshooting Engineer, you will be in charge of the following tasks identified with regard to the phases of the project: preparation, execution, control&monitoring and closure of troubled items.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation: Interface with the development and the engineering departments from a technical standpoint on I&C Field devices if Spare Parts or Test Equipment are needed; Participation in the review of the I&C Field Troubleshooting Log File; Attend to Pre-Job Briefing prior to I&C Field Tests execution
  • Execution: I&C and Process tests execution; Analyze and select the troubleshooting actions; Plan troubleshooting activities; Preparation of Work Order (WO) requests; Replacement of damaged components; Support the I&C Field Commissioning Team during re-tests after trouble is solved – if needed; Collect design documentation
  • Control and monitoring: Follow up of Trouble events on a day to day sequence; Update of Troubleshooting Log File; Follow up of needed Spare part orders
  • Closure i.e. the completion of the commissioning activities: Provide the as-built configuration to the Engineering department; Support closure of all I&C system open points; Inform the I&C Field Shift Leaders that the trouble event has been solved and re-testing can start.

Essential skills

You have an engineer degree and experience in the I&C field, with a lot of knowledge in sensor calibration.

To be successful in the role you are expected to have knowledge in commissioning activities on sensors, actuators, switches and similar field devices.

Desired skills

​​​​​​​EPR knowledge would be a plus
