Role description

In this position, will be in charge of ensuring the management of internal and subcontracted installation & execution design & engineering activities of Control Systems sold for reactors that are under construction or in operation for export. You will report to the management of one or more I&C Projects.

You will be involved in all phases of the Project, for the installation and site scope, from the offer preparation phase, then during the execution of Design activities / Engineering phase / Realization / Validation of the delivered systems, until their commissioning on the power stations.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

These are your day-to-day’s activities as part of the team:

  • Analyze customer needs and requirements & participate in the definition of the offer,
  • Define the orientation, technical and industrial choices in consultation with the stakeholders of the Project and with our external partners,
  • Define Technical and Operational deliverables contracted with our partners,
  • Draft specifications, analyze suppliers’ offers, verify suppliers documents,
  • Control internal and external documentation and deliverables,
  • Participate in technical and operational clarifications with the client,
  • Manage the services subcontracted and carried out by the partners, Quality, Costs, Deadlines:
    • Installation & layout studies
      • Definition of the equipment, its locations, definition and routing of cables and piping,
      • Definition of supports,
      • Definition of links/interfaces between systems and equipment,
      • Implementation studies, support for the creation and integration of systems and equipment in PDMS models,
      • Drafting and validation of calculation notes (structure, support, earthquake, etc.)
    • Detailed specification, Procurement and Manufacture of materials and equipment: Brackets, valves, piping, cables and electrical and mechanical interface accessories,
    • On-site supervision of the installation and commissioning of systems and equipment according to established procedures and carried out within the framework of the Project (Internal, External)
  • Analyze and verify technical interfaces with other trades,

Depending on the project, you can be involved in guiding and supporting technical offers (definition of the requirements, cost and time estimation, surveying partners & participation in the drafting of the offer).

  • Participate in the open package of equipment and ensure the transfer of responsibility for the equipment to the customer according to contract functions
  • Manage non-conformities identified on site by technicians and partners, then forward them to the business lines for analysis and treatment

In a more transversal framework:

  • Support the skills development of stakeholders in turnkey I&C projects
  • Participate in the improvement of the management processes of turnkey I&C Projects
  • Participate in the management of the company’s change towards the fields of I&C and site engineering

Essential skills

To succeed in this role, you will need good knowledge of Nuclear I&C, with significant experience in the field of equipment installation. Also, you bring to the table technical experience in the world of control and commands in the Nuclear industry, Automation architectures, I&C Systems in the nuclear activity, knowledge of safety standards and associated methodologies (IEC 61508, IEC 61513). You are an expert in Standards and regulation applicable to power plants and have knowledge of the QA processes relevant for this role. You can ensure technical control of the basic technical documents for control and command: Layout studies, routing, cabling, support, calculation and justification notes, assembly instructions, execution site test procedures, etc.

You are skilled in leadership and technical, cross-functional team coordination.

As is an international company, professional level of French and English, written and spoken is needed.
