Adding value and expertise to a well-known global organizational, also operating and expanding in Canada, our client is currently looking for a Managing Lead, Integrated Solutions.

This is a permanent position based in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, which can also be based remotely.

 

Role description

As Managing Lead, Integrated System Solutions, you will develop and maintain a product roadmap and manage a portfolio of products for their lifecycle. You will develop business cases to justify investments to meet market needs, while building and maintaining long term strategic relationships with customers. You will shape market strategy to secure quality OE and maximize profitability.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

With an understanding of the nuclear sector (Major Ontario focus) you will drive profitable product/service growth which meet or exceed revenue and margin objectives and will:

  • Lead the technical proposal development and oversee complex negotiations with customers to obtain contracts, which contribute significant profit margin and revenue growth.
  • Analyze contract requirements and develop project-specific deliverables and successful program implementation and effectively manage contract changes.
  •  Enhance customer satisfaction by analyzing needs and developing unique customer solutions to address customer concerns.
  • Develop a strategic focus, communicate vision for future and promote a culture that aligns with organizational goals by developing a culture that values customer service.  Identify unmet customer needs through appropriate market channels especially direct customer interaction.
  • Develop innovative solutions in collaboration with other parts of the business.
  • Develop and successfully implement a product business plan taking into consideration “breakthrough” technologies and cost improvement objectives. Maximize financial contributions to ensure product viability.

Essential skills

The successful candidate with your mix of mechanical, chemical, and structural engineering and manufacturing background you will also have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field (PEng).
  • 10 years of experience
  • Demonstrate your ability to formulate global market strategy and deploy customer-oriented solutions which directly support Company’s profitability goals.
  • Successful project management skills in effectively estimating and planning significantly complex projects/programs, including complex contract negotiations with international clients.
  • Build consultative relationships with customer, operations, maintenance, and engineering decision-makers to enhance the organization’s position as the premier value-added supplier.
  • Applies comprehensive business knowledge to complete complex and broad assignments.

Desired skills

  • A degree in business; MBA
  • Proven history of managing and effectively leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and interfacing with multiple functional groups.
  • Someone who is curious and continually scans the environment to verify products and services are adding value to both the customer and other business entities.
