Our client is searching for an MCR Tooling, Program Manager with an operations mindset, a robust background in manufacturing or industrial environments, alongside an in-depth understanding of tooling and equipment to lead the life-cycle management of a Major Component Replacement (MCR) project taking place with one of Ontario’s primary Utility operators.

Reporting directly to the Director of Project Management, Industrial Automation, you will be responsible for establishing, overseeing, evaluating, and driving management direction for all client MCR site services. You will play a critical role in leading, managing, and providing direction to the Training Lead, Fix It Now Team Lead(s), Tooling Refurbishment Manager, Project Engineers, Project Coordinators and Continuous Improvement SPOC within the MCR project portfolio to drive continued and sustainable growth by ensuring flawless execution of projects.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • A proven track record of excellence and success in leadership roles within a production-based settings
  • Experience leading large teams in a project-based and change management environment
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement concepts, tools and methodology
  • Well versed in facility operations, financial management, regulatory compliance, and planning development specific to automated manufacturing systems.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in MRP (material resource planning), inventory control and supply chain methodologies.
  • Setting strategic direction and priorities based on technical and project requirements while upholding quality standards.
  • Establishing and maintaining technical excellence and working to ensure the technical resolution of tooling issues.
  • Continuous improvement in operational efficiency and reductions in cost.
  • Delivery of projects on time and on budget.

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 10 years Program Management experience with a proven track record of excellence and success in leadership roles within a production-based environment
  • A degree in engineering, business, or another related field.
  • Computer literacy as applied to program management.
  • Experience with directly managing or providing oversight on automation programs in excess of $25 million with multidisciplinary teams.
