For one of our clients we are looking for a Lead Package Engineer with experience in HVAC to work on a big international nuclear new build project. This would be a long term project on a contract basis to be based in France (Lille or Paris).

Role description

In conjunction with the engineering, qualification, planning and procurement teams, he/she shall perform the technical, quality, and scheduling exchanges with material suppliers.

In conjunction with the qualification team, he\she shall be responsible for the delivery of material qualification work packages successfully.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

To execute and expedite the work packages assigned to them by the Management team, on time, to budget, quality and in accordance with the contract and specification

To coordinate and expedite the different functions within the project and provide regular reporting to management

To perform the technical, quality, and scheduling exchanges with material suppliers to resolve technical queries, non-conformances, and define delivery schedules that are consistent with the site construction dates, and enabling negotiation with the suppliers by the procurement team

To execute and expedite the delivery of material qualification work packages successfully, providing regular reporting of progress, identifying and notifying change

To expedite the manufacturing and delivery of all main plant and in-line materials from the supplier to the logistics warehouses

Regularly assess the % of progress, remaining work, and due date for completion

To identify, capture and assess change

To identify, capture and manage technical and project risks and opportunities

Essential skills

5 years experience in Project Engineering roles, in highly regulated sectors

Knowledge of HVAC; specifically ventilator and motors.

Fluent in both, French and English.

BAC +5 Degree in industrial, mechanical or thermal engineering with project management experience
