Project Engineer

Role description

In the context of major projects related to Spent Nuclear Fuel Management, Emptying of Deactivation Pools and Decommissioning. You will be in charge of the following activities in close relation with the Project Managers and the Customers:

• Drafting requests for quotation, bid evaluation and customer support for negotiation;
• Participate to the different phase of the contracts from the kick-off meeting to site delivery and acceptance tests
• Collaborate closely with Quality Surveillance group and customer for equipment manufacturing follow-up.
• Participate to the supervision the intervention in the nuclear power units
• Assist and bring technical expertise in order to support plant operator and customers
• Interface between utilities and contractors
• Assist in technical discussion and meetings the plant operator and customer with the Belgian Safety Authorities
• Participate and organise reviewing activities of safety files for radioactive waste casks, damages spent fuel treatment and spent fuel
• Participate in international bid in the context of the N48 Department nuclear activities.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

* Engineering degree (mechanics or electro-mechanics preferably. If you have a nuclear engineering degree or similar education background is a strong plus)
* 6 year experience with 2 years minimum of working experience in the nuclear industry
* Good interest in manufacturing, site operation activities and design
* Capabilities to work in French and/or Dutch and especially English
* Proactive, self-controlled, assertive skills
* Willing to work with a team, with customers in a project context
* Leadership and coaching competencies
* Knowledge of MS Office
* Ready to accept long term commitment
