Is open to English OR French Speakers, who are open to relocate to France and eventually travel to visit customer, partner and supplier offices in and across France and the UK.

Role description

Some of the tasks you will be facing in this role are listed below:

  • Reporting to the Quality Manager, he/she is to assist in implementing and maintaining the project management system, quality assurance & control requirements, Quality Plans, processes & procedures for the HPC project and project supply chain
  • They will act as the Quality liaison for Package Leads and engineers for deviations, non-conformances and non-compliances raised on their plant(s) & material(s), will be responsible for monitoring the progress of Non-conformances to closure and raising Non-conformances from Client Observation Notices
  • They will act as the Quality liaison for Package Leads and engineers for Supplier deliverable documents such as ITP / FUDs, LADs, List of QRA’s etc and monitor their implementation and maintenance in the supply chain
  • They will assist in providing quality assurance and quality control guidance to HVAC engineers, Package Leads, qualification and project engineers to ensure compliance with the management system processes, Project CQAP and approved project procedures,
  • They will participate in audits, process reviews etc, the monitoring of actions to closure, the issue of audit/review / action reports and the compilation and reporting of Quality KPIs
  • They will facilitate and monitor the compilation and review of Lifetime Quality Records (presented as End Of Manufacturing Reports) and the generation of Quality Release Certificates to complete and release plant & materials where specified

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • To provide their deliverables and deliver the Quality function services according to the objectives, input data, applicable processes, procedures and outputs defined by the Quality Manager
  • They will be responsible for assisting Package Leads in ensuring all plant & material for the contract is of the correct quality, qualified (where required), procured, manufactured and shipped in accordance with contract quality requirements, to the relevant QA Grade and with the relevant records (LTQR)
  • To assist in ensuring the Project and supply chain work is performed in a manner compliant to and in accordance with the organization policies and management system processes, procedures, and practices, specified Project Quality requirements, Quality planning and controlling arrangements
  • To report, issue and follow up the findings of audits, process reviews, non-conformances and deviation reports,  resolving quality issues, supply chain and project quality queries
  • To compile, review, verify and report the Quality KPI deliverables for their content, accuracy, consistency, and completeness
  • To provide support to the Quality Manager and act as delegate when required to assess and monitor the progress, remaining work and the due date for completion of corrections, corrective actions, root cause investigations, non-conformance reports and lessons learned activities
  • To identify, capture and manage report quality risks and opportunities in the Project and supply chain

Essential skills

Experience in materials processing & joining, metallurgical, mechanical/electrical or electro-mechanical engineering, manufacturing, auditing, inspection & test activities and surveillance of fabrication by suppliers

  • Five to ten years experience in quality assurance and quality control in highly regulated sectors (nuclear, oil & gas, rail, aerospace)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety
  • Knowledge of UK nuclear regulatory requirements, international and European standards, industry code of practice, and knowledge of RCCE 2012 (preferable)
  • Ability to expedite technical studies
  • Written and oral fluency in English, French is desirable
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor trained and certified (Preferable)
