For our international client we are looking for a Program Manager that acts as an enabler across the different areas in the project and aligns the teams’ goals and finance. In this role you will make sure that all resources are performing at 100% and will oversee the scheduling of the project; focus also on developing and improving the R&D procedures and support the business process to ensure effective and transparent delivery with the highest quality.

For this permanent role, you can decide in which of the following locations you would like to be based: Almelo (Netherlands); Gronau (Germany) or Capenhurst (UK). There is flexibility to work from home 40% of the time.

Your day to day will be shaped by the following tasks:

R&D Portfolio: Manage all the process and the priority board, initiation and closure of projects. Establish project control (progress and resource allocation). Issue the status report and share it with the different stakeholders. Manage conflicts across the different portfolios. Maintain the Project Board updated.

Interface with the different teams to ensure all the process and technologies are aligned with the established procedures.

You will be also supporting the development of the Quality Management System by presenting the documentation, control and CI of the department processes and governance.

Financial Management: You will be the nexus that consolidates the budget across teams. Also, you will manage the budgeting and financial control process within R&D, and regularly provide the Head of R&D

You will provide guidance and direction to the teams regarding programme and project management best practices and delivery.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working as a Program Manager in R&D projects (Mandatory); preferable in regulated industries such as: Nuclear, Pharmaceuticals, Medical, Oil&Gas, Mining, Chemical, or similar.
  • Expertise in portfolio management, programme management, project management and PMO best practices
  • Expertise in budgets, resource and stakeholder management
  • Experienced at implementing programme/project management processes and establishing governance, KPIs and reports.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO9001)
  • Ideally, a qualification or certification in programme/project management.
  • Language: English. Is a plus if the candidate also speaks Dutch or German.
  • Willing to relocate or commute to one of the following locations: Almelo (Netherlands); Gronau (Germany) or Capenhurst (UK).
