Working in support of our client Longenecker & Associates, Thomas Thor USA is currently seeking a Records and Document Manager for the Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office. This is a position to be based in Lexington, Kentucky.

The Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office (PPPO) manages the DOE cleanup efforts at 2 gaseous diffusion plant sites. The PPO mission is to accomplish Environmental Remediation, Waster Management, Depleted Uranium Hexafluoride Conversion and Decontamination & Decommissioning at the sites.

Role description

Longenecker & Associates is a woman-owned and operated small business with 30 years of experience providing technical, management, analytical and other support to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) complex and sites, including many of the National Laboratories. Longenecker & Associates, supporting the PPPO, is in search of a Records and Document Manager. 

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will provide project oversight and implementation of a Records Management Program to include lifecycle records management relating to scheduling, maintenance, and disposition of Federal records. Furthermore, the Records and Document Manager will exercise their experience and knowledge with designing, support and lifecycle records management with an Electronic Records Management Systems (ERMS) to meet National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and Department of Energy (DOE) requirements as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Archives, Records Management Administration, Library or Information Science (or closely related field) from an accredited college or university is required.
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in developing and implementing a Records Management Program or closely related activity
  • Experience in lifecycle records management, in particular environmental, project and regulatory records.
  • Experience working on a Department of Energy site is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience/knowledge in designing, support and lifecycle records management with an Electronic Records Management System (ERMS) to meet National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and DOE requirements, like DOD 5015.2 Standard.
  • Proven experience with GIMMAL records management system will be highly evaluated.
  • Experience with LiveLink also preferred

  • Experience with database systems
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to use independent judgement for determining course of action
  • Strong analytical skills
