Role description

For the CFD and Accident Studies Group of our Belgian Nuclear client, we are looking for a Senior CFD Engineer to perform complex CFD engineering analysis in the domain of nuclear reactor systems using industry-standard methods and simulation tools (e.g. ANSYS CFX, ANSYS FLUENT, SATURNE or any equivalent recognized software); to defend the work to the Customer and the Safety Authorities; write technical reports about the studies performed; coach junior Engineers in their activities; give training on CFD topics; verify CFD Studies performed by colleagues and perform R&D in the field of CFD related to nuclear thermal hydraulic topic.

Some of the disciplines where you will working close to are: Licensing Studies, PWR Plant Operation Support, Analysis of plant behaviour, Severe Accidents Studies, PSA Level 2, among others.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

As the aim is for a senior in the discipline, least 10 years of experience in conducting Fluid Dynamics studies are required. Also, good understanding of the numerical models implemented in the CFD software you used before. Knowledge of task automation through scripts (eg: Python) is an asset.

The candidate must be able to communicate in English AND in either Dutch or French.
