“My team is made up of experienced professionals who work across all Magnox sites carrying out a range of specialised technical work. The scope of the work will be to undertake designs, verification, commissioning, technical advice, and acceptance of others work within the process engineering area. We are currently looking for Senior Consultants across 2 disciplines: Ventilation and Process Engineering. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will act as a technical authority in engineering to support sites, projects and programmes in delivering their missions, including areas such as: ventilation, flammable gas management and DSEAR; gaseous & liquid filtration; retrieval of waste; and treatment of radioactive wastes, for example encapsulation and drying.

You will also:

  • Provide authoritative advice to senior staff on nuclear and conventional safety issues relating to their specialist areas.
  • Carry out complex calculations and verify those of others, to support decision making and problem solving.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Chartered Member of a relevant Institute or working towards
  • Substantial experience of working in nuclear, or a similar highly regulated industry
  • Demonstrable track record in problem solving within the technical areas outlined in the key deliverables above
  • Ability to work as a subject matter expert and intelligent customer and to give authoritative advice to senior management and to challenge plans where necessary

Location

Please note this role could be delivered virtually from any Magnox Site with travel to the Bristol Hub as required.
