Role description
We are looking for a SHEQ Manager to support the development and maintenance of our Integrated Management System and promote a positive culture for compliance and leadership, for Cyclife UK – part of EDF.

Cyclife currently has four business lines covering: Consultancy, Site Projects, Waste Treatment and Decommissioning via a nuclear-licensed waste treatment facility in Cumbria and international facilities in Sweden and France.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that all company legal responsibilities are fulfilled
- Support the development and maintenance of our Integrated Management System, which is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001
- Advise on health and safety requirements and good practice
- Investigating the direct and root causes of health and safety incident and near misses to identify recommendations and actions to prevent recurrence
- Ensuring the maintenance, development, and continuous improvement of health & safety policies
Skills and Experience:
- Qualification in Safety Management and Quality and be prepared to understand the unique regulatory framework supporting the UK Nuclear Industry
- Experience in manufacturing and / or the Waste Treatment industry
- Proven track record in safety management and management of safety on large construction projects
- Problem solving, event investigation and auditing
- Motivated, positive and able to promote a positive culture for compliance and leadership
- Demonstrably strong oral and written communication skills
