Sr. QA Engineer

Role description

We are currently assisting our client with a Sr. Quality Engineer search located near Los Angeles, Cali. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this individual will help support the management of the local nuclear quality program with a focus on nuclear quality systems improvements, system improvements, and internal audits.

Responsibilities:

• Support Client’s Nuclear Quality Program.
• Support review of nuclear production orders
• Support preparation of documentation for shipment of nuclear orders
• Support audit preparation, facilitation, and response (internal, external agency, and Customer audits)
• Facilitate NCR and MRB processes
• Support and conduct operational audits
• PO Review (Code and Safety-Related)
• Review of Inspection Reports
• Management of Supplier Deviation Requests

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Competencies:

• 5 years QAE experience, including engineered-to-order environments for the nuclear industry
• Experience with 10CFR Part 21, 10CFR Part 50 Appendix B, ASME nuclear certificates, ASME NQA-1, CSA CAN3-Z299 / N299, and ASME BPVC Section III, NUPIC, NIAC
• Skilled in CAPA and RCA tools and able to teach and coach these concepts
• Skilled in data analysis and quality KPI performance management
• Qualified Internal Auditor

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• NQA-1 Auditor Certified
• Lead Auditor Certified
• Experience with NCA-3800, NCA-4000, RCCM, KEPIC, and 50-C-Q
• BB Certification or Equivalent certification/experience.

Professional Experience:

• 5 years QAE experience, including engineered-to-order environments for the nuclear industry

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical)

Compensation:

• $85,000 – $95,000
