A permanent opportunity based in the South West working for a Major Nuclear New Build project.

Role description

To be a member of the our clients Quality Function, providing functional package management leadership, support and subject matter expertise, which ensures that quality standards are achieved right first time, in accordance with the Client’s requirements on the project.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of our clients Supply Chain Quality Strategy.
  • Provide Quality support and input to the Procurement Package Criticality Assessment process and determination of the appropriate surveillance arrangements to be implemented.
  • Identify and exploit/mitigate Supply Chain Quality Opportunities and Risks on the project.
  • Provide appropriate Quality input to the development of Procurement Package Specifications.
  • Evaluate Quality responses to PQQ and Tender returns from the supply chain.
  • Conduct/lead robust Assessments of the Supply Chain, incorporating system based auditing and Subject Matter Expert technical review at the supplier’s premises.
  • Manage the review and approval process of supplier Quality documentation.

Essential skills

  • Practitioner Member of CQI (PCQI) or working towards membership.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
  • Formal qualification in Quality Management (CQI, BSI or equivalent).
  • 10 years’ practical quality management experience and subject matter expertise with proven track record.
  • Delivery in a regulated industry.
  • Successful deployment of Quality tools and techniques.

Desired skills

  • Formal qualification in Quality Management (CQI, BSI or equivalent).
  • Award for Nuclear Industry Awareness (ANIA).
  • Construction environment of the UK Nuclear sector.
