For our client PALLAS in The Netherlands, we are currently looking for a Systems Engineer.
PALLAS-reactor’s mission is to provide unique solutions for nuclear medicine and research. Their vision is to build a safe, state-of-the-art facility to become the world’s leading producer of radioisotopes for nuclear medicines and enable nuclear technology research – the first in industry to be privately financed, owned and operated. They are building the research reactor in Petten, Noord-Holland, the site of the existing High Flux Reactor.

The main role of PALLAS is being the Intelligent Customer and this entails overseeing the use of specialised contractors and subcontractors responsible for the design, construction and operation of the PALLAS-reactor. Oversight means monitoring of the delegated Design Authority and ensuring the right design delivered by the contactors enabling the PALLAS-reactor’s mission.
An integral part of the Intelligent Customer organisation is the Systems Engineer who is responsible for ensuring a structured way of designing by the contractor, and thereby enabling demonstration of compliance to the Intelligent Customer requirements. The Systems Engineer with his/her associated roles monitors how the contractor implements the agreed systems engineering process and becomes the owner of the process output.
Also, the Systems Engineer should enable a structured way of working within PALLAS by developing a Systems Engineering framework for design developments done in-house.

In your role you will have responsibilities in the area described below.
We are looking for Subject Matter Experts who can act on their own, who will know and can be responsible for their systems and who can be independent and proactive on the progress of their scope with no need to be chased.
You have a degree in Systems Engineering and at least 8 years of professional experience.
You have relevant experience (12 months or more) in one or more of the following projects:
Languages: English (spoken and written)
You have experience working with nuclear regulatory framework. (Preferably the Dutch Regulatory Framework, or if you are Dutch speaking experience with conventional Dutch regulatory framework)
You have previous working experience for an “Intelligent customer” and are able to understand the position as an Owner or as a client.
You have also experience in the following:
PALLAS offers a very competitive salary ranging from 3.900 – 5.400 € gross per month plus holidays allowance (8%), to be discussed depending on your education and experience.
