Role description

Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) who are part of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority has an opening for an experienced Technical Editor to join them as they continue the Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) siting process.

The GDF project is a National Infrastructure Project and will provide a long-term solution for the management of the UK’s higher activity radioactive waste.

You will work with the Siting Managers and alongside the Technical Siting Support and you will contribute to the successful implementation of the GDF siting process.

Responsibilities

As Technical Editor, you will play a key part in the success of RWM’s siting process by providing high quality document review and refinement prior to publication. Your duties will include:

  • Editing technical documents
  • Coordinate and deliver document review process
  • Coordinate and deliver Quality Assurance processes.

This is an opportunity to use your technical skills and editorial experience in order to craft documents and prepare them to be delivered into public domain where they will be subject to high levels of scrutiny.
