For one of our clients, we are currently looking for an experienced Technical Inspection Manager to lead a team and oversee the nuclear construction activities on a major nuclear new build project in Turkey. This is a permanent role to be based on-site in Turkey and to start in February.
Role description
- Ensure operational management and supervision of the Inspection Team
- Ensure all inspections activities are properly performed and delivered within the framework of the contract and in compliance with Turkish Regulation
- Ensure operational and technical relations with the plant owner and subcontractors are properly implemented for the expected achievement of targets
- Interact with all Inspection Team members taking into account the roles of Discipline Coordinators and Inspection Team Leads
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise Inspection Team in line with project procedures
- Define the targets to be achieved and the priorities to be considered by the Inspection Team and ensure that the necessary activities are properly assigned
- Follow-up the progress of the inspection activities and ensure the right level of control on main inspection issues
- Participate in HR management from the selection phase to the evaluation of the performance of collaborators
- Oversee and approve the Work Inspection Schedule and ensure it is considered by the Inspection Team for anticipating and preparing inspection activities
- Organize and lead coordination meetings with the Inspection Team in order to assess
- inspection issues and to give instruction on them
- Validate all key productions (technical procedures, Non-Conformity Notifications, etc.) of the Inspection Team, including contributions to the Monthly Report
- Participate when necessary in important or strategic meetings with the key stakeholders on the project and the nuclear authority
- Ensure the behavior and the values to be applied when performing inspection activities (independency, impartiality, honesty, etc.)
Essential skills
- Experienced professional in quality control/construction supervision/inspection
- Significant experience in big construction projects
- Experience in nuclear projects
- Management experience of a medium or large team
- Experience working on international projects would be a strong advantage
- Fluency in English and French
- Ability to identify complex issues and come up with quick and efficient solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to handle high pressure environment
