The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) is the entity responsible for the deployment, ownership and operation of nuclear energy plants. Prime Contractor (Korea Electric Power Corporation – KEPCO) is responsible to design, build and help operate its four nuclear energy plants. ENEC performs construction oversight including oversight of the Prime Contract. Upon completion of the plant construction Nawah, which is a joint venture between ENEC and KEPCO will run the plant.

The Nawah Warehouse Operations (PSC) has a role of Handling, Receiving, Storage and Issuing of material, parts, and components in the warehouses.

Role description

The SME will be required to review the following scope of Warehousing & Inventory Management Audit including but not limited to the following;

  • Assess adequacy and implementation of the processes and procedures established for the warehousing activities.
  • Review workflows, roles & responsibilities and adequacy of segregation of duties among different functions responsible for receipt and storage of spares.
  • Assess adequacy of and compliance with existing policies & procedures.
  • Assess adequacy of process established for in storage preservation and maintenance of OSP (specifically for the OSPs stored in Plant General Warehouse).
  • Review controls relating to the accountability for and the custody of the spares stored in the warehouses.
  • Assess adequacy of process adopted for transfer of spares from construction warehouse to operation warehouse.
  • Assess adequacy of the process adopted for receiving, inspection, issuing and storage of goods.
  • Review the physical count of the goods in custody and reconcile tests of such counts with records of spares stored in the warehouse.

Note: Above scope listing includes initially identified minimum requirements; successful SME will be required to identify the full scope and risk for coverage during the audit.

Responsibilities

The review will assess the adequacy and implementation of the processes and procedures established for the warehousing activities including storage preservation and maintenance of Operation Spare Parts (OSPs), accountability for and the custody of the spares stored in the warehouse, transfer of spares from construction warehouse to operation warehouse, etc.

The requested SME will work as an integral part of the Internal Audit team and support the Team in planning, execution/ hand-on fieldwork and reporting of the Audit. SME will have the support of Internal Audit staff (provided by ENEC) for execution of this Audit.

  • Relevant experience on a Nuclear Power Plant
  • 20 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor Degree preferred

Rate/Salary

$20,000 USD to $22,000 USD per month, based on experience
