It is a permanent opportunity as a Planning & Delivery Manager,  to be located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

 

Role description

As the Delivery & Planning Manager you will lead a small team responsible for all operational planning, monitoring and reporting processes.

This includes cost forecasting related to new opportunities, resource demand planning, detailed master scheduling and ownership of processes required to monitor and report progress of delivery across a wide array of projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own all master scheduling activities
  • Schedule activities include effective and accurate resource loading to support project cost forecasting
  • Provide reporting to business leadership on load/capacity forecasts for the operation as a critical input to resource planning
  • Consolidate data to enable strong visibility to customer delivery commitments across the business to inform decisions regarding operational priorities
  • Responsible for reporting several key operational metrics pertaining to earned value management (EVM), critical path analysis, and on-time delivery
  • Oversee of costing activities related to new project opportunities and/or runout
  • Ensure integrated schedule outputs satisfy customer expectations and internal planning processes
  • Team leadership and development

Essential skills

  • PMP certification
  • Extensive experience with Primavera P6 in a multi-project environment P6 Professional Fundamentals certificate.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a technical project leadership role
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between project performance and impact on business financial performance

 

 

Desired skills

  • P.Eng. certified, Mechanical or Electrical is a plus
  • Nuclear industry experience, CANDU preferred
